Before you knew your name,

something was already moving through you.

Memory. Culture. Pain. Love.

The voices of people who lived before us. The lessons nobody sat us down to teach. The habits we repeat without knowing where they began. The strength we carry without knowing who first had to find it.

The Black Current is a story about those invisible connections. A story about family, identity, loss, and the experiences that shape who we become. Through Allik’s journey, the first act opens a door to questions that reach beyond one person, one family, and one lifetime. What if understanding yourself requires looking beyond yourself?

What if some of what you carry began long before you were born?

And what happens when you finally begin to notice?

The Current has always been moving.
